Emergency Room

The emergency room is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and is staffed with highly-trained providers certified in Advanced Trauma Life-Saving (ATLS). Designated as a Level 4 trauma center by the state of Texas, our emergency room features a highly-trained staff.

Nursing

At Kimble Hospital, our nursing staff comprises the heart of our patient care programs. Our compassionate nurses are highly-trained and certified in Advanced Life Support, Pediatric Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation and trauma.

Laboratory

Our full-service, Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA)-certified laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and highly-qualified staff to deliver fast, accurate results.

Radiology

Kimble Hospital offers PACS/CR supported X-Ray and CT imaging. Your digital images are read on-site by your physician and also an off-site radiologist. Gastroenterology

Once a week a gastrointestinal specialist visits Kimble Hospital to perform various diagnostic testing of the esophagus, stomach and intestinal tract on an outpatient basis.

Outpatient Mental Health Services

Kimble Hospital’s outpatient mental health services provide individualized treatment for older adults who suffer from psychiatric, emotional, or behavioral disorders.

Physical Therapy

Our physical therapy department serves both our inpatients as well as outpatients. We are available for a variety of services including strength training, range of motion exercises, coordination development, balance and mobility training and safety awareness. Treatment is personalized to maximize patient quality of life. We have a variety of specialized equipment and highly-trained staff to promote quality outcomes.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Our pulmonary rehabilitation program addresses needs of patients with Chronic Respiratory Disease (COPD), including emphysema, chronic bronchitis, pulmonary fibrosis, and other conditions of the respiratory system.

Cardiac Rehabilitation

A customized program of exercise and education. Cardiac rehabilitation programs promote desirable outcomes significantly increase your chances of survival after certain cardiac events. Both the American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology recommend cardiac rehab programs.

Swing Bed Program

Kimble Hospital’s Swing Bed program is a short-term, extended-care program for those who require: IV therapy, strengthening and training, physical therapy, palliative care (as an alternative to Hospice) and/or teaching and training to care for a new condition/problem.  In order to qualify for the program, the patient have been an inpatient in a hospital for at least three days within a 30-day period and have a diagnosis that requires extended care and therapy.

Business Office

Kimble Hospital is committed to providing quality healthcare and services to all patients. However, in order for us to do this, we must keep our hospital financially sound. We accept a wide variety of payment methods, including private insurance, Medicare, Medicaid and self-payment. As a courtesy to patients and their families, our business office will submit hospital claims to their insurance company, Medicare or Medicaid on behalf of the patient. To speed up the claims process, it is important that complete and accurate information be given when the patient is admitted to or registered at our hospital.
